It doesn t affect the sound or anything but this weekend i spent like 100 on records and at least 2 of them are warped. If you re in a rush you can quickly fix a warped vinyl record using an oven. Quite badly in some cases nirvana s nevermind is just playable and u2 s 18 is the same. Taking it out and you felt that prick in your heart looking at a warped vinyl.

I was talking about surface noise before usually on clear coloured picture disc vinyl. You probably wouldn t be reading about how to fix this problem if it wasn t already an issue but general prevention is a good place to begin. Still plays good though. Short of buying a replacement of your prized vinyl record there really is not an easy and quick way to ease that pain you felt of looking at a warped or bend record on your hands.

At least it s not warped yay they weren t. Yes you can un warp them. I m still relatively new to vinyl as well but buying vinyl in stores is a lot better. Does anyone else buy new records open em up and find them warped.

I seem to remember in the 80s they were like wet paper and warped easily. As mentioned above a brand new vinyl record is less often the culprit of playback skipping though it is not unheard of. But i just got a new regular black album with surface noise that not even the most scratched 40 year old record has. A lot of the new vinyl i ve bought recently is warped.

Pick up an early vinyl record from the 50s and they re pleasingly like lead weights. But you won t like the answer. Then take the glass and record out of the oven and place a heavy object on top of the glass until everything is fully cooled.
