I just wipe it clean.
Either way when i removed the drain plug i could not get the original crush washer off the plug.
I ve re used my crush washer a few times and it s finally developed a slow leak.
Nonetheless i think changing the crush washer every time is pointless but so is changing oil as often as a lot of us do.
And why should you re use an oil drain plug gasket.
Some cars have crush washers some have a nice o ring built into the plug some have nothing.
